WHO IS PRO WATERCROSS?
Pro Watercross is headquartered in Penfield, NY a suburb in Rochester, NY nestled in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Founded in the 1995 by AJ Handler, Pro Watercross events are a testament to our level of commitment to our competitors, fans, host city and sponsors, who are all an extremely important and invaluable part of our success.
As Pro Watercross is beginning to take flight, it will serve as a resource base for building competition at the grassroots level. UWP event producer of the Pro Watercross Tour was founded in 1996 with core values in mind to provide a safe racing atmosphere for its competitors in a family friendly environment.
In 2015 UWP formed Pro Watercross membership to give a voice to event organizers, competitors, crew members and PWC enthusiasts. Through this we are developing a skilled group of individuals to establish event safety procedure, competition rules, uniform class structure, standardized scoring & technical procedures in order to grow the sport.
Pro Watercross is the leading personal watercraft race circuit in the USA.
Formally part of the International Jet Sports Boating Association or IJSBA: UWP a.k.a Pro Watercross divorced itself from the IJSBA in an effort to provide a better product for its competitors.
Personal watercrafts sometimes known as jet skis are manufactured by Yamaha, Kawasaki & Sea Doo with numerous aftermarket parts companies involved in the sport; Jet Trim, Jet Lift totes, Goggle Grip, Solas Props, Slippery Wetsuits, Optima Racing, Full Spectrum Carburetors, Jet Renu Cleaning Products.
Pro Watercross introduced its own version of the World Finals this September in Naples, FL as the Pro Watercross World Championships which was filmed and aired on CBS Sports Network airing nationally in over 100 million households.
